Navarro Regional Announces Expansion Project
Estimated $5 million to be invested in ER
(Dec. 11, 1009) CORSICANA, TX - Navarro Regional Hospital is pleased to announce a ER expansion development project which is set to begin on Monday.
The project calls for the ER to increase from 8 to 14 treatment rooms designed with the patients, staff and physicians’ needs in mind. The Department will have dedicated beds for trauma and an area for urgent care for minor illness and injury. In addition, the ER will have enhanced privacy amenities including a private registration area and patient/physician consultation rooms.
With the growth in ER visits we are experiencing in Navarro County, NRH is committed to investing in enhancements that meet growing demand,” said Xavier Villarreal, chief executive officer of NRH. “NRH operates a busy ER with over 23,000 visits this year. During our construction, the current emergency department will continue serving the community 24/7.”
The new addition is scheduled for completion in December of 2010. Construction on the project is led by M.J. Harris. Architecture is by the Ascension Group Architects.
