Food and Nutrition Services
Navarro Regional Hospital is dedicated to providing patients and visitors with quality, great tasting, well balanced nutritious meals. Patient meals are carefully planned and monitored by our licensed Registered Dietitian.
Your diet, like your medication, is prescribed by your physician. Navarro Regional Hospital proudly offers seven (7) different patient menus in order to meet specific patient needs. Depending upon your diagnosis, you will be given the opportunity to select daily from your menu. In addition, the services of a licensed Registered Dietitian are provided to meet your individual nutritional goals and needs.
Patient meals include breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Various beverages, soft drinks, and requested snacks are available at any time for your convenience. You may request these items from your nurse.
Nutritional supplements are also available to patients and are ordered by the physician and dietitian.
Guest trays are available upon request for family members and or visitors at $5.00 each. You may request these from your nurse.
Cafeteria
The hospital cafeteria is located on the 1st floor of the hospital. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday (including holidays) as follows:
Breakfast: 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Daily breakfast items include: eggs, pancakes or french toast, bacon or sausage, biscuits or Danish, hot cereals, cold cereals, milk, Starbucks coffee, juice and assorted beverages.
Daily lunch items include: 1-2 different entrees, 3-4 side items, rolls or cornbread, salad/dessert bar, cold sandwiches, baked potatoes, milk, sodas, bottled waters, bottled specialty drinks and snack items.
Please note the cafeteria does not serve dinner at this time and is closed on weekends. However, vending machines are available on the 2nd floor, 1st floor across from the ED dept., and in the 1st floor main lobby of the building.
