Emergency Services
The Emergency Department at Navarro Regional Hospital provides immediate evaluation of acute medical conditions and trauma to adult and pediatric patients 24 hours a day.
Our services include trauma and cardiac life support, as well as minor emergency care. Consultations with medical, surgical and orthopedic specialties are also available.
The Emergency Department is comprised of 9 rooms, including two trauma rooms, one OB/GYN room, and one room set aside for Fast Track patients. The Fast Track room has four beds in it.
We have at least one Emergency Room physician on duty 24 hours a day. We have a second Emergency Room physician from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Our Emergency Room treats an average of 60+ patients daily. We structure our patient treatment around a five-level triage system. The Fast Track system allows us to decrease the wait times for patients with minor injuries or illnesses.
Visitor Information
It is very difficult to be separated from your family member or loved one in the Emergency Department. We recognize the importance of family support in the care of our patients. So we can provide the best care possible, we ask that only two people stay with the patient. By limiting visitors, the staff can get the necessary tests performed as quickly as possible and patients will have an opportunity to rest.
During the physical exam or in the event of a critical situation within the department, visitors may be asked to step out for a time. We appreciate your cooperation so that each individual’s confidentiality and privacy can be maintained.
