Navarro Regional Hospital Expands Inpatient Pulmonology and Critical Care Service
12/18/2025
Navarro Regional Hospital recently expanded pulmonary and critical care services for patients in Navarro County and the surrounding region as part of a new affiliation with a national multispecialty telemedicine group. Through this collaboration, the hospital’s on-site respiratory therapists, nurses and physicians now have 24/7 access to board-certified pulmonary and critical care specialists for real-time consultation, ensuring that even the most seriously ill patients can receive advanced care close to home.
“Having around the clock access to critical care and pulmonary specialists is incredibly important for our patients,” said Jim Hall, M.D., inpatient medical director at Navarro Regional Hospital. “This level of real-time collaboration strengthens our ability to make timely, informed decisions for even the most complex cases. It truly is a team effort, and having that knowledge at our fingertips is an invaluable resource for our hospital.”
This enhanced level of specialist support has the potential to decrease hospital length of stay, reduce the likelihood of transferring patients to other facilities, lower hospital-acquired infection rates and strengthen engagement and communication with patients' families.
“This telehealth affiliation elevates the level of care we provide at Navarro Regional Hospital, ensuring more patients can remain close to home while receiving advanced pulmonary and critical care,” said John Manolakis, CEO of Navarro Regional Hospital. “This collaboration strengthens access to specialty care, keeps families together during challenging times, and ensures our community receives the highest standard of critical care without needing to travel elsewhere.”
The expanded services underscore Navarro Regional Hospital’s ongoing commitment to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to the community.
